I was giving a lecture last week on caring for the environment. I answered a question at the end "what can we practically do?" by saying "this is something pretty much everyone can do. Get to know now your local farmers who are trying to ecologically manage their farms and support them by buying from them directly."
There is so much power to effect change for good in the way we choose to spend our money.
Is there a protest planned? If so, I've missed it. If I've missed it and as a non-farmer engaged with this, then whoever is organising this isn't getting the message out.
I wouldn't call it a protest more of a demonstration but could turn into a protest. Farmers are planning to gather outside parliament during the reading of the budget at the end of November. You haven't missed it yet but I doubt it will get much coverage from the media which is why i'm sharing too!
Very well said, Helen.

Keep fighting, keep writing 💚

So where are you getting the information from? I'm obviously missing it.

As well as other sources, I also have farming friends who are going
Agghh... A Wednesday, the only day I have a fixed work commitment. The earliest I could get there would be about 3pm.
There also a day of unity planned on the 24th

Looks as if you need a tractor for that one. I have a beesuit, will that help? 🙂
