You are most welcome Luke, it’s really wonderful reading about your farming experience and with the historical element woven into your writing. Just curious are you going to the Oxford Real Farming Conference in January?

I’m not sure. I always read about the ORFC and it sounds fascinating, but I’ve never thought about going along myself. I’ll think about it!

Fascinating, how do you envision this vital community evolving to integrate more tech-driven approaches for conservation, buiding on the incredible work you're already doing?

Thank you for such an interesting question, Daniel. I really appreciate you recognising the community as vital. I tend to focus more on grassroots, hands-on approaches, so I haven’t spent as much time thinking about tech-driven conservation, though I have featured writing from agri-tech experts like @Kristin Demoranville before. I’m definitely open to new ideas and would love to hear any suggestions you might have on how technology could be integrated in a way that still feels authentic and accessible for our community. If you’ve seen any practical examples or tools that work well for conservation at the local level, please do share - I’m always keen to learn and explore new possibilities.

Oh wow Helen! I've had a crummy day and came home to an email about the AgStacker Community - I thought at first it was some kind of coalition of aggro, moaning substackers given the title of the post you've linked to - ha! What a pleasant surprise and a DELIGHT to see my little rant amongst all this wonderful writing! I'm hugely flattered and also really happy to now have all these wonderful writers to read. Thankyou very much indeed and what a brilliant idea!x

I’m so glad the AgStacker newsletter brought a bit of light to your day! Your “little rant” was exactly the kind of honest, thoughtful perspective that makes this community special, and I’m thrilled to feature it alongside so many other brilliant voices. It means a lot to have you here, and I hope you find plenty of inspiration and camaraderie in the mix. Thanks for being part of it all and for bringing your unique energy to the conversation!

Wow Helen! This is an incredible round up of ag stories.

You do a fantastic job reading all these articles these for nuance and understanding and then giving your readers enough to follow to know which highlights to pursue.

Thanks for taking the time and energy to do this!

Amazing. 🙏❤️

Honestly Liz I enjoy it so much. It’s become a bit of a challenge for myself to keep looking for new writers and expanding who I can find on this platform so each month as a range of new writers and some previous features. 🩵

Thank you for including Syd's story & so many other great voices. Substack should have a food & farming category.

You’re most welcome Cheryl, I’m trying my best to cover as many voices as possible in every issue and varying writers. It would be much easier if there was 1 place to find them all but that’s why I feel this community is important!

Thank you for the mention! Being on the smallholding fringe (sounds like a dodgy hair do!) I'm always glad to read around the whole Ag Arena, and your anthology is always an eye opener.

Thanks Jackie, I loved your post on how to make soap so I was happy to share. It’s always been one of those products I wanted to try and never had the time. Maybe I’ll give it a go!

Thanks also for the comment on the Ag posts, I’m trying to keep it a variety of backgrounds although I’m mostly drawn to grassroots and small scale Ag writers. But I feel this community should be as inclusive as possible
